Thanks for the photos Emperor! I really enjoyed the posed, half posed and candid photographs of our kingdom! Well, it is now really really cold here and I am typing now with half frozen fingers... hey guys this blog is getting quite dead so thought i will just post something. was just talking to san this morn during lect about our jc days.. the stwepid things we used to do. the ultimate slackers..

ponning practically everything except for hist lects and ke-xin's maths lectures.
playing cards at our gambling dan.
and even under the table during econs tut.
how even during pe we can slack by running one round then to the canteen to the vending machine to buy a drink before running back.
how we always copy maths tut from each other. to find out no one did at all.
the dramatic day whereby we all attempted to pon sch but failed and yong called our homes and we all came up with diff crap excuses and went back to sch.
the day we pon contact time as always and went to pizza hut but san sprained her ankle in her attempt to climb the gate.
our wed yu pian mi fen days.
how we always had to oh-ya-bay-ya-som at bedok interchange to decide what to eat.
my wonderful "wrong" sms that was meant for king but went to siying instead.
the day we took bus all the way to eat katong laksa during our 3hr break.
the day we pon dunno wat celebration (college day?) and all went the music room to slack thanks to auggy my and yx.
how holland v was showing then and ben became wan wan da jie, khan-lingling, san-yanyan, me-jingjing, yx-rourou...
how we always have to do a checklist for san whenever we leave a certain place to make sure she doesnt leave her things behind.
how pipiland was founded in honour of king. =)

too many memories with u people... =)

haha. sudden sense of nostalgia. miss those days loads and its amazing how we are all so different individually yet we could come together as a group. =)

The Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts City Chinese Orchestra is pleased to inform you of their upcoming concert, entitled Heroes of the Mongol Grasslands, which is scheduled for 6th August 2006 at 5pm at Victoria Concert Hall.

The theme of the concert is Mongolian music, which is fresh and rarely heard in Singapore. We will be flying in three Chinese professional performers (which includes Prof Liu Changfu). They will be performing several solo works and also works which will be accompanied by the Orchestra.

It's cold and windy in Wildwood (the city I'm residing in New Jersey), so much so that I have to run instead of walk whenever I head out.

Serving fries on the beach is pretty fun, I have a second job at a laundry shop. But I hate the working hours, starts at 6am every morning. I miss home.

I think I'm developing the nasal American slang already. Hahahahahaha, got to la, because the people at work don't understand me if I don't talk like them, haha.

Things are pretty mellow here, since summer's not here yet and the weather just makes me want to stay in all the time.But I'm not complaining, I love it here. =)

Woahz, now that Empress mentioned weather, I can only say that the warmth of sunny Singapore is definitely something to miss (with Winter coming). Well, this month, we celebrate TWO 21st Birthdays, so, Happy Birthday Duchess and Emperor! Well, it can be a bit lonely being the elder male statesman in pipiland sometimes).. =P So I reckon everything's pretty good? I am still thinking of coming back in July but as of now, it seems a bit hard, but we shall see yaz. Meanwhile, to all travelling abroad, have a happy (and safe) time overseas and do not forget to post on your return! =) Badly misses all of you.. =)

Seems like most of us is going away/already out of Singapore - guess we're unhappy with the weather here? Haha, just kidding. Anyway, thought I should post something here as well. I'll be in Munich for a month, leaving on 28th May and coming back on 28th June. Its the 6th of April as i sit in front of my computer typing this. It is a breezy afternoon, with clothes hanging out to dry, and the gentle wind wafting against my bare cheek feels like a lover's hand inviting me back to her warm embrace. I guess I'm feeling uplifted, revitalised, no, maybe BLOODY WELL OVERJOYED BECAUSE ITS 19 DAYS TILL THE END OF MY TERM IN SLAVERY!!!! NO MORE GODDAMN WEARING GREEN AND GREETING HIGHER RANKING PISSOFFS THAT DESERVE TO ROT IN THE PIGPENS ANY MORE!!! No offense meant Benson. (Notice I say wearing green. Not, er, sea blue? is that the colour of your uniform anyway?) Anyway, Wan Gui, the medical in NTU went all right I guess. Again, I would like to say a big thank you to Miss Khan, who was a great help that day when she saved me from the labyrinth of NTU and brought me to the clinic. Without her help, I think I would still be there now, wondering how to go home. And I do hope you were not late for your appointment also yah? But after the med check at the clinic, they ask me to go to jurong point go take X-ray, WAH LAU SO BLOODY CROWDED!!! The X-ray clinic apparently not only serves the NTU students and staff, they also serve members of the public (expected lah) as well as FOREIGN WORKERS! When I went there for my x-ray, at first only got one Thai worker waiting with a lot of students and members of the public. After stoning for about 5 minutes, I was shocked to the core of my being to see a whole gang of Banglas outside the clinic. I thought got gang fight or what. Even the nurse was shaken i think. Anyway, that freaking X-ray took me 2 and a half hours. But anyway, it went well enough lah, I guess. So, enough about my complaining (which I've been doing almost all the time. Guess you guys must be bored of it by now huh?) And YES i can make it on 28th April. Why? BECAUSE I ORD ON 25TH APRIL AND I AM FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!

Surfing Down Under!

Hey peeps, just returned from my division outing, went to Broulee Beach for a day of surfing, touch rugby and beach soccer! It was good fun really and I think I am kinda sun kissed now.. Haha, think going to the beach makes people happy but real tired as well.. Yea, the feeling of gliding on the water at high speed is cool and the moment you can stand on the board is magical~ However, if you fall, the undercurrent is strong and can sweep you all over the place, as me and my poor board can testify. Yea, really enjoyed surfing!

As for Khan, don't fret so much man, its always cool to go on a big adventure by yourself and something you should treasure. Make sure you get an international calling card before you go and an ATM card that can allow you to access your money from over there. Yea, that's all my tips for you but just post an entry if you have any more enquiries yea? Last but not least, have fun and take a zillion photos! =)

Anyway, ya I'm leaving for New Jersey on May 2nd Tuesday afternoon. Sigh, it is going to be a 23-hr flight, but will be transiting at Taipei. It's a three-month work/travel kinda thing in US.

Eh I'm damn scared leh, I really have no idea what New York is going to be like. I'm touching down at New York first, probably late at night, which by then hopefully I can check myself into a decent hotel there. (Ya, will be alone) Will be working at this amusement theme park in Wildwood, New Jersey. It's damn fun, well from the brochure la, 'cos the theme park is right smack on the freaking beach!!! Woohoo.

But I think the only drawback is the weather. Read somewhere that highest day temperature in NJ is only going to be 26 degrees celsius, ha which is like my room air-con temperature. NY's not any better either.

Ha, sorry to disappoint, it's nothing glamorous la, I'll probably just be serving super-sized burgers, hotdogs and fries there hahahaha.

Will be living in this house with other students from other countries, macham like boot camp, with bunk beds and all, ha. I don't think I'll be able to eat all that stuff there. Maybe I'll just source for some supermarket and buy cheapo white bread and beer to tide me over. One of my well- travelled friends told me that if I'm worried about living expenses, I can just survive on beer, cos the beer there is really cheap and yup, beer really fills you up. Argh, I can't believe I actually wrote that. Erm, benson, you'd understand right?

I am hoping that I can visit New York again before I return, since the airport is going to be in NY anyway. =) Does the "Central Perk" in "friends" actually exist?

Flight back home is on 19 July, but the stupid airline agent told me that I have to make a 24-hr stopover in Taipei, sigh, and I really want to get back home asap one lor. But I guess one day in Taipei should be fun la, in terms of food, hahaha. Don't think I can do much within one day maybe except to shop and eat. I figure that I'd probably miss Chinese food so much that I'm planning to go on a binge on all those cute little roadside hawker foodfare. Ya! I can do my own shi2 zi4 lu4 kou3!

ok i am gg mad this week is a killer i have like lots of readings and tuts and essays to do. erm actually just one essay lah. haha.. but its a level 3 hist module meaning my essay will be graded against all the super zai hist majors. freak. yeah i can smell the ord for king and aug already.. haha.. its only feb and i already feel very burnt out by all the 21st bday parties etc.. and not to mention i feel utterly broke. arghh.. oh well on a lighter note i am still alive and kicking. argh. one more week to mid term break hang in there san and khan. haha.

Wah piang tomiko is yuanxin rite? U play DOTA??? My god man that is like the latest ah beng game after counterstrike... But good lah, finally some1 interested in games that i play (by that i mean the warcraft genre, not some ripoff) Anyway I wanna meet up! And on 20th onwards I clearing my leave for last year so i free everyday except Fridays where i have to go back camp for celebrations and the 26th when i have duty. Next week i only not free on Friday because dunman high 2d organise class gathering. (Wan Gui, it was Huiling's idea. I was shocked that she still remember) Anyway, I trust exams are all over for the university lasses? Hope u guys do well! And for all Harry Potter fans, my verdict on the show is that its not bad, and that cedric very poor thing. The part where Harry defeat the dragon with a broomstick is preposterous however. Ridiculous. Blatant case of an overwrought imagination. A dragon whose been flying all its life defeated by an upstart boy who flies for fun? what sia... But back to the main topic. I sugegest we meet up to watch Chronicles of Narnia: the tale of the lion, the witch and the magical wardrobe? Nice show with great special effects. Also, the story is a bit fairy tale-ish so i guess it would be quite a palatable watch. And for Christians, the show has many undertones that u guys can take reference with. So how? It opens on the 22nd December. For the uninitiated, the show is a fantasy tale which details the struggle of 2 sons of adam (boys) and 3 daughters of eve (girls) who stepped into a wardrobe and found themselves in a fantasy world called narnia, where it was prophesised that they would be the ones to free the world of its incumbent bad guy - the White Witch. Lastly, 4 MORE MONTHS TO ORD!!!!!!!!!!!

Tsunami Rebuilding Expedition

Instead, I will be flying off to Aceh this December for a Tsunami Rebuilding Expedition. We'll be furnishing kindergardens, building playgrounds, a library and organising enrichment activities for the local school children. I wonder if two weeks are enough for all this. Hmm, it will be my first time in New Zealand so I reckon it will be a good experience ya.. think I will be in Melbourne as well, might be attending a concert by Missy Higgins, a really good Aussie singer..haha.. Hi people, good to hear that the term break is here.. It is getting slightly warmer here so life is getting more familiar I guess.. Had a creepy experience that day when we were marching in the field.. It was about nine in the morning when we got hit by the bug wave.. All of a sudden thousands of small flying ants just came and they flew around us.. It was not a pleasant experience and we had bugs all over us, crawling and buzzing (its the nearest word to describe their noise, haha).. It was tough as we were not allowed to move while having drills.. Arghz.. The agony, sensation and goosebumps.. Imagine your whole shoulder being engulfed by bugs.. Shudders..

Oh well, its all in a day's job Down Under I guess.. Rightio.. Have fun in the term breaks! =)

silly nus.. dunno which dodo bird decided that holidays are supposed to start from sundays to thursday. in all reluctant-ness, i trudged along to school today and my dad fetched me. there were 3 accidents along the way and it made me horrendously late. display of aggressive driving syndromes by just about everyone else in the morning. if all those drivers were womenm it'll prob be more peaceful muhaha.. maybe becos they have no guts to engage in such confrontational crap with other ppl. prob afraid tht if anything happens they'll be labelled as kayu drivers. =( so sexist

anyway, had french class today. everything's going really well. much more difficult these days with all the weird tenses coming in. it's like having to grapple w grammar all over again.

Of Surfing Saturdays and Rough Seas

Hi peeps, what's going on? Had my first surfing lesson last saturday and I can tell you surfing is really good fun..From putting on the wet suit to hitting the waves, it was awesome man..I never believed that I could surf till I got on the board, haha.. Had quite a few falls and drank a few mouthfuls of seawater but it was all part of the experience ya..But hey, I managed to stand on the surf board, if only for a few seconds, haha..Its slowly beginning to warm up around here as well, so what do you know..Surfing season! Spent the whole of last week on a little vessel called Seahorse Horizon, which in itself was an experience..When we were sailing out of Jervis Bay (where my naval base is situated), we had a pod of dolphins following the ship which was in itself a unique experience. Also saw some seals through the week, haha, so it was cool.. Hmm, whats this about the NTU mass com=many girls jibe? Haha, think Philip's gonna find his one in a million there ya, good on ya mate.. Alright peeps, keep up the high spirits ya! =)

Wats up people? Hey aug my bro, do enjoy yourself in Brunei and remember the jungle survival tips ya.. Spent the whole of this week learning how to fight shipboard fires and plugging holes in the event of a flood..Was freezing cause the water was like 14 degrees and we were totally drenched..Went to town on Thursday night to do some shopping cause I am on duty this weekend..Sob..Anyway, when we were driving back, we were stopped cause my friend was speeding (115 km/h in a 80 km/h zone) but we were all oblivious as we missed the sign. The coppers came and it was kinda exciting cause its the first time I got stopped by the traffic police. Haha, sounds so mountain turtle (Sorry Gui).. The cars here have to go really sloooowww cause its a national park and kangaroos, wombats roam freely all over the place. But the poor animals get knocked down quite often, sadly. Saw a couple of dead roos when I was going out. They are sorta regarded as pests around here, kinda pitiful ya. Oh well, to end on a more positive note, would probably be blogging again tomorrow or the day after.. Haha, not exactly very encouraging but cheers people! =)

Hey everyone... sorry I've been tied down with quite a lot of stuff... I (might be) flying to Brunei for an army project... cutting trees for helicopters to land...

We'll be staying in Brunei for about six weeks. However the date of departure for my trip is still unconfirmed, because higher HQ in Singapore and at the Brunei side have not yet given the approval. Even the trip is unconfirmed... it's quite frustrating because at the last minute, at any moment, we could be flying off and disappearing for six weeks in a foreign, alienated land and on the other hand we could have wasted our money buying stuff that we won't be using...

I may not have internet access, and phone reception may be bad, so the only method of communication is good ol' snail mail...

Anyway in the event that I do travel and you need to contact me, you may write to me by printing an address which I will send on request via email (while I'm still in S'pore) on your envelope.

I took a photo of him ( it didn't hurt that he's cute!) and exchanged numbers, so that he can help me order coffee powder from Vietnam. Little things like this sure make things more bearable.

Hey peeps, (hands are frozen as I type this), been freezing ever since the last post, haha, eating a lot of meat and think I am getting fatter, oops. Guess what, that day when they wanted to do a BMI test on me, I did not even fit into the range cause I was too thin, darn. The instructor was flabberghasted, just scribbled down 20, and told me to eat a hundred pies, arghz.. Oh well, gonna go but here's to all, HAppy National Day! =)

heh i had a great day today. still feeling the high-ness after the cco performance today. it was full house loh great ending to the last day of hols. sian sch starts tml. anyway today during dinner i saw wilfred! (chairperson of 3402 rem?) he asked how are all of u.. heh.

oh and i heard shocking news from someone else today. someone told me that elvinna got married and gave birth. said her fren saw the pics on friendster. i dont quite believe. have u guys heard anything at all? think only person who has more contact with our class pple would be sandy but u have not heard such rumours from mugger gang rite? oh well. dont really care. haha.. hope everyones doing fine. king and aug are u guys involved in ndp this year? think they are wasting so much money on fireworks this year. =\
