Firefighting Fires and Speeding Fines...

Wats up people? Hey aug my bro, do enjoy yourself in Brunei and remember the jungle survival tips ya.. Spent the whole of this week learning how to fight shipboard fires and plugging holes in the event of a flood..Was freezing cause the water was like 14 degrees and we were totally drenched..Went to town on Thursday night to do some shopping cause I am on duty this weekend..Sob..Anyway, when we were driving back, we were stopped cause my friend was speeding (115 km/h in a 80 km/h zone) but we were all oblivious as we missed the sign. The coppers came and it was kinda exciting cause its the first time I got stopped by the traffic police. Haha, sounds so mountain turtle (Sorry Gui).. The cars here have to go really sloooowww cause its a national park and kangaroos, wombats roam freely all over the place. But the poor animals get knocked down quite often, sadly. Saw a couple of dead roos when I was going out. They are sorta regarded as pests around here, kinda pitiful ya. Oh well, to end on a more positive note, would probably be blogging again tomorrow or the day after.. Haha, not exactly very encouraging but cheers people! =)

Hi everyone

Hey everyone... sorry I've been tied down with quite a lot of stuff... I (might be) flying to Brunei for an army project... cutting trees for helicopters to land...

We'll be staying in Brunei for about six weeks. However the date of departure for my trip is still unconfirmed, because higher HQ in Singapore and at the Brunei side have not yet given the approval. Even the trip is unconfirmed... it's quite frustrating because at the last minute, at any moment, we could be flying off and disappearing for six weeks in a foreign, alienated land and on the other hand we could have wasted our money buying stuff that we won't be using...

I may not have internet access, and phone reception may be bad, so the only method of communication is good ol' snail mail...

Anyway in the event that I do travel and you need to contact me, you may write to me by printing an address which I will send on request via email (while I'm still in S'pore) on your envelope.

If my gmail happens to get flooded, you can send to: auglum@yahoo.com... but I doubt 2GB++ can be filled up in 1.5 months...

Catching the chills..

Hmm..everyone seems to be in relatively high and busy spirits, haha, good on ya mates! Just went out with my mates a couple of nights ago and man, it was kinda fun.. Haha, stayed over at my friend's house for the weekend and experienced the Australian lifestyle for a couple of nights.. It was good stuff I am telling you.. Just got an Aussie number and guess what, its VODAFONE! ( Man Utd's sponsor for the unintiated=) ) Found out that it is cheaper to call Singapore than to call my friend in Australia..Weird world isn't it? Haha, weather is getting chilly as we are experiencing colder and colder winds.. Brrz.. Blog often ya! Cheers! =)

Hang on everyone!

It's the fifth week of school for me today. Also my first group presentation in NTU. One more to go this Wednesday. It's never-ending I know, but at least we're in it together, sort of anyway. Right guys?

Warning: Skip this if you're nauseated from my Vietnam rantings

I chanced upon a Vietnam food stall in one of the canteens today. I couldn't help but kept walking back to the stall to talk to the Vietnamese stall-holder. I took a photo of him ( it didn't hurt that he's cute!) and exchanged numbers, so that he can help me order coffee powder from Vietnam. Little things like this sure make things more bearable.

Hope you guys find yours too.

King: wouldn't read this if I were you

Maybe I'm in the wrong course or what, I'm still not sure. But all I know is that I'm trying to keep myself sane amid the crazy workload. Erm, King if you're reading this, it'd be good to know that you probably wouldn't face the same sh*t since you are in a different course as me. (I'm in accountancy)

Eh to our dearest mate in Australia, the grass yonder is greener huh.

Hey Pipilanders!

Hey King, congrats on finding a new buddy in NTU and your impending ORD man.. haha, just had my first taste of an Australian Barbeque when I went to my friend's house ( or mate's house in colloquial terms) last Saturday.. It was awesome and she had like three extremely cute jack russells for me to play with.. *sniggers* show you guys the pics some day kkz.. Hmm, is there any major occurrences in Singapore I should know about, kinda getting obsolete here cause I cannot find any local papers on sale. Anyway, take care of yourselves and blog often kkz.. Cheers peeps! =)

Its Getting Cold In here! Brr!

Hey peeps, (hands are frozen as I type this), been freezing ever since the last post, haha, eating a lot of meat and think I am getting fatter, oops. Guess what, that day when they wanted to do a BMI test on me, I did not even fit into the range cause I was too thin, darn. The instructor was flabberghasted, just scribbled down 20, and told me to eat a hundred pies, arghz.. Oh well, gonna go but here's to all, HAppy National Day! =)

Does anyone know?

Does anyone have any idea where I can get Vietnamese ground coffee powder from? My supply is running out soon and the coffee is the closest I can get to re-living the Vietnam experience again. ( Stop sniggering).
